The Welfare Association (WA), a leading agency supporting Palestinian development and relief efforts, is seeking dynamic leaders and
team builders with excellent conceptual, analytical and organizational skills for the following position:
1- Project Coordinator, Youth Employment Project – Jerusalem ID
Duration 20 months. Reports to Senior Programs Manager.
Specific Responsibilities & Required Education and Experience:
- Supervise and manage the implementation of project activities related to youth development in Jerusalem.
- BA economics, social work, development or related field.
- Three years experience in project coordination and management preferably in the field of Youth.
2- Project Coordinator, Education – Jerusalem ID
Duration 2 years. Reports to Senior Programs Manager.
Specific Responsibilities & Required Education and Experience:
- Supervise the implementation of project activities targeting the education sector in Jerusalem.
- BA Education, or related field.
- Three years experience in development and management of assistance and development projects preferably in the education field.
Main Responsibilities for the above Two posts:
- Liaise and coordinate beneficiary organizations.
- Keep record and tracking of all of the events implemented through the projects
- Receive technical and financial reports from beneficiaries and following up on issues needing further clarifications or additional supporting documents.
- Report on impediments to program implementation plans and developing mitigation plans.
- Keep orderly filing of information and program / project documentation.
- Assist in resolving any emerging operational problems arising at the program and project level, and proposing solutions and amendments to implementation plans and agreements as needed.
- Monitor / Follow up implementation progress to ensure the achievement of program / project deliverables in a quantitative,
qualitative, and timely fashion.
3- Project Coordinator, Youth Employment – Jerusalem ID
Duration 3 years. Reports to Youth Employment Program Manager.
Specific Responsibilities & Required Education and Experience:
- Good public relations network with private institutions and NGOs in Jerusalem.
- BA degree in economics, business administration, media and communication or other related fields.
- A minimum of 4 years work experience in the field of youth development or/and business developments.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall project implementation in an institutionbuilding manner.
- Manage the project in accordance with an annual budget set for project implementation.
- Responsible, in cooperation with the project team, for designing and implementing an operational plan.
- Coordinate the implementation of project components with other national and international organizations operating in the field of similar technical assistance projects in Palestine (in Jerusalem).
- Establish and maintain linkages and strategic alliances with key employers in Jerusalem.
- Follow systematic reporting to the program manager on all aspects of project implementation.
- Conduct periodic formative and summative evaluations of the project.
General Required Skills for the above three posts:
1. Good project management skills.
2. Reports writing.
3. Fluency in Arabic and English languages.
4. Excellent computer skills (MS-Office, MS-Project, and Internet Applications).
5. Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English and Arabic.
6. Valid Driving License.
