The USAID Competitiveness Project aims to strengthen the competitiveness and export
potential in the areas of Agriculture and Agribusiness, Stone and Marble, and Tourism, and
Information Technology. The project will provide technical assistance to business service
organizations in these sectors to improve sales, income, and employment.
The USAID Competitiveness Project is seeking highly qualified professionals to fill
immediate vacancies in the project’s Ramallah offices.
The ICT Team Lead will be reporting directly to the Chief of Party and his/her responsibilities will
include, but not limited to:
• Designing a program of support activities in cooperation with private business services and
representative Palestinian ICT organizations;
• Manage collaborative efforts to strengthen Palestinian educational and training institutions to
equip young people with the skills required of the ICT industry;
• Support Palestinian participation in regional and international efforts of leading ICT firms
such as Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco and others to source talent and innovation;
• Facilitate an alliance of Palestinian stakeholders to expand domestic market opportunities and
promote competitiveness by diffusing ICT enabling services throughout the economy.
Qualifications include:
• 7 years’ experience with a minimum of 5 years working in the ICT industry
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Business Administration
or the Arts
• Experience working with international ICT firms is preferred
• Demonstrated record of success in initiating business transactions with local and
international ICT firms
• Ability to travel and work regionally is required
• Fluency in both English and Arabic is required.
